As a Storyboard Artist you will create the Holy Guide for the Rough Animators. You will first study the style of the series, practice with some tests and then create the base for the animation following the script instructions. It might look like the easiest job, but the Storyboard Artist MUST fallow the strict guides to make an Epic result.
To succeed as a Storyboard Artist in Metrecalia, the creativity is important, since creating the poses, situations and movements for the characters is a very creative work. If you have a dynamic style, it will be a piece of cake to you. [minimum] $50 per minute of animation (USD)
As a Rough Animator, you will animate the movements of the characters, making all the messy work without having to clean it up later. If you have experience, it will be the easiest job for you, since the required animation style is really simple. Using the animatic as a base, the Rough Animation is the core of the character's visible personality. With a minimalistic smooth movement you've got the role. No lip-sync required. [minimum] $65 per minute of animation (USD)
As a Clean-Up Animator, you will give life to the characters, refining the final result and giving it a professional look. For this, is important to have a vectorized animation program (flash, animate, toon boom harmony, opentoonz etc.) and have basic line art, coloring and lip-sync skills. You must study the Design Guide and make some basic tests before start animating.
Most will say Clean-Up Animation is the most important part of the process, and with good reason, since this is the most delicate part of all.To succeed as a Clean-Up Animator, you must fallow ALL the rules of the Design Guide, approaching the main style of the series as close as possible. [minimum] $70 per minute of animation (USD)
